Pilgrim is a church rooted in the “free church” tradition. In other words, the individuals and families who commit one to another actually make up the church. As our Covenant says, “We covenant with the Lord and one with another and do bind ourselves in the presence of God, to walk together in all his ways, according as he is pleased to reveal himself unto us in his Blessed Word of Truth.”
This “binding” ourselves and “walking together in all his ways” is accomplished through a decision to commit oneself to the Lord and others at a local church, i.e. becoming a member. Membership holds a twofold blessing. On the one hand, you share the spiritual reality of experiencing being a child of God, a member of Christ’s Body. This takes place in a visible, local context with other Christ followers, i.e. a church. Secondly, it is here – in a community of faith, surrounded by brothers and sisters who are being transformed into the image of Christ by God’s Holy Spirit – where you as an individual and family also are transformed as you walk in His ways.
Pilgrim is a community of faith where you have the privilege and responsibility of living out your faith for the glory of God. Welcome!
Informational classes will be held several time a year. Please call Pastor Mark if you have any questions or wish to register for the new class.
